Sardonyx is a banded agate carnelian stone like bloodstone or chalcedony and is a combination of Sard and Onyx hence the name. It is a naturally occurring "Evil-Eye" or "Anti-Evileye" protection charm. Our modern day blue, white and black evil-eye protection charm that we tend to see is usually made from plastic or wood and tends to function as a shield against psychic attacks and evil eye. In comparison, the Sardonyx is an "Evil-eye" charm par excellence and functions more like an armor against evil eye, psychic attacks and especially physically harm.
